Klara Huser

Rain or shine, Klara Huser’s teams know that can be counted on to not just show up and do the best job possible, but to do her job with a big smile on her face.

Klara moved to Banff in 1969, and in the words of one of her three nominators, has been, “Positively impacting it ever since.” She been active with the curling club and most notably has been scorekeeping for both Tommy’s baseball teams since 1994.

“She is an unsung, unassuming hero,” said another nominator. “She has given hundreds of hours.”

When it comes to scorekeeping, a task her team describes as tedious (and not something they want to do!) they know that they can always count on her. Always smiling and prepared, her team knows that Klara will be there to cheer them on, giving them encouragement and keeping the faith when they are falling behind in runs.

“She’s a big part of our team,” said a nominator. “And we’d be lost without her – we love her.”

Congratulations Klara and thank you for your contributions to the Banff Community. You are truly an inspiration and you make Banff a better place to live because of your dedication to helping others. SHINE would like to say, “thank you for who you are and most of all Thanks for Giving!”
